Sri Lanka is the most beautiful island in the Indian ocean and may be in the world. Here you can snaps of top tourist attractions and must visit places in Sri Lanka. Actually there are thousands of tourist attractions in Sri Lanka, one article or twenty odd photos are not enough to share all those top tourist attractions in Sri Lanka with you. Sigiriya (8th wonder of the anciant world)

Sigiriya (Lion's rock) is an ancient fortress and a palace which was built during (AD 477 - 495) by Sri Lankan King Kassapa I. Sigiriya also named as one of the seven "World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka". King Kassapa was an artistic and creative king who built up his palace on top of rock which rise up 370 m from the bottom. This is the most popular tourist destination in Sri Lanka. You also can found ancient paintings of Frescos which related to painting of Ajantha caves in India.

The name Lion's rock came because of the large statue of a Lion. Currently only remaining the legs of the lion.
